a family of 4.

Silver Sands is a small cozy two-bedroom cottage for 4 people, located down a sandy road off the ocean side of Ocean View Drive.  The main room is an open floor plan with a kitchen, living room and dining area that have been recently updated.  The cottage has wood floors throughout. The kitchen has been remodeled, while still retaining its rustic knotty-pine charm, and is equipped with new stainless steel appliances: full-size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave oven/toaster, coffeemaker, as well as dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, etc.  The living area has a wicker loveseat and chairs, dining table with chairs.  The living room has a remote controlled gas fireplace.  For those of you who enjoy the “fun” of burning real wood logs, there is also an outdoor fire pit

The cottage has two bedrooms: one bedroom has a new queen bed (and the sound of the ocean and/or a view of the fireplace to lull you to sleep); the second bedroom has twin beds.

There is one bathroom with a shower.  Outside, there is an enclosed shower, clothesline and a wooden storage box, which contains beach chairs, an umbrella, and assorted beach toys for renters’ use.  There is also a small basement area which can be used to store bikes.  The screened-in porch, which affords distant water views, has wicker furniture and a bar-height table.  Outside the porch are a charcoal BBQ grill, picnic table and hammock.

Silver Sands sits in the sand, gets the morning sun, and has a private sandy yard facing south toward a wooded National Seashore area. The yard has Adirondack chairs to enjoy the sun or the evening stars. It is also a great play area for children, morning coffee, badminton or croquet. There is a fire pit for cool evenings, or to toast marshmallows. It's a short walk down a sandy path to LeCount Hollow Beach at McGuire's Landing.
